Cornhole
I made two sets of cornhole boards, one for my family and another for some friends.

I decided on using 2x3s from Home Depot and 1/2in Birch Plywood for the top.

Pocketholes and woodglue was used throughout.
I designed mine with two cross braces to eliminate any possibility of bounce/sag in the top.

The holes were cut using a router and a homemade jig, and I think it turned out pretty well. I clamped a piece of scrap wood to the back of the plywood and drilled the center of the jig into that, so when I finished cutting out the center piece the router wouldn’t go anywhere.

I finished them with Polyurethane. The first few coats I applied with a foam brush, and the last coat I applied with an HVLP sprayer from harbor freight.
Not sure if you can tell from the photos, but the final poly finish wasn’t fantastic. I did it in the garage, and there were a bunch of dust flecks. But hey, it’s a cornhole board. It’s going to get dinged up anyway.
That’s it!
